概况：《名侦探柯南》是一部以侦探破案为题材的动漫作品。始创作于1994年，目前仍在《少年SUNDAY》连载。
剧情主线：高中生侦探工藤新一。某一天在调查事件（“云霄飞车杀人事件”）途中，目睹两个黑衣男子正在进行可疑交易。但没有料到，另一名黑衣男子（琴酒）从后面接近并强灌毒药——APTX4869，致使身体变小。为了不暴露身份和寻找黑衣男子，新一化名为“江户川柯南”，寄住在青梅竹马毛利兰的家中，想借助兰的父亲毛利小五郎（侦探）来找寻黑衣男子。不料小五郎经常做一些“发育不良”的错误推理。作为侦探，新一实在看不下去，帮助小五郎破了许多案子，大叔得以名声大震，成为“沉睡的小五郎”，并继续追踪黑暗组织及其成员。
