德国和加拿大是波纹管技术主要来源地,比较著名的有加拿大的科玛公司和德国的尤尼克公司。其工艺为把塑料熔融后挤出成管状,再由成型机连续成型。 PVC、PE、PP三种材料都可制作埋地排水排污管,但由于它们的弹性模量不同,工艺成型性稳定性不同,它们制成的管材各自有一个合适的直径范围。 按照欧洲标准 prEN13476-1, PVC、PE、PP三种材料的弹性模量E分别为:≥3000MPa≥800 MPa ≥1250MPa。由于PVC材料的弹性模量E大于聚烯烃材料,达到同等的环刚度可以用较小的惯性矩I ,如果采用同样的波形设计可以用较小的壁厚。所以在一定直径范围内,聚氯乙烯双壁波纹管在经济上占有优势,这也就是为什么在埋地排水管领域UPVC双壁波纹管应用最早用量也最大的原因。但是由于聚氯乙烯材料的流动性和稳定性比较差,生产大直径波纹管有困难,同时,由于它的柔韧性不及聚烯烃材料,以及聚烯材料可以熔接等原因,在直径500㎜以下范围可能采用UPVC双壁波纹管比较经济,而在更大直径范围比较适合采用聚烯烃的双壁波纹管。
