The fine particles of atmosphere - PM2.5 is part of the atmosphere. Due to the fact that its smallness of diameter, it can be the carrier for toxic matter and have a great impact on environment and health. The paper analyzes the measures of control and prevention according to the forming mechanism, harms and source of collected PM 2.5 as well as main detection methods and standards. The author also summarizes the status quo of research on fine particles PM2 from home and abroad. The paper mainly revolves the physical and chemical properties of PM2.5 particles and analyzing methods, health effects, analysis of source and the influence fo visibility and so on to elaborate the fine particle and predicts the direction for future studies.
