In my opinion, our lives, as defined from an aspect of existentialism, are the choices made by
ourselves. Since we come to the world and become beings, it is our uncollected obligations
to sustain each choice we made, and such obligations make extremely anguished.

Man [chooses] makes choices in anguish, because he has no external guidelines to help him and [must] has to rely on his own morals and beliefs. Man [chooses] makes choices completely [want] on what he wants [to do]. This is the whole meaning of his existence and being [depends on this]. This is [where] what I believe Sartre [locates] defines the meaning [to] of man's existence. According to Sartre, man's existence [takes on] bears meaning only through his actions. The Sartrean existentialist finds it extremely troubling that God does not exist because with Him, all hope of finding values in an intelligible heaven will vanish. As Dostoevsky once said, ‘If God did not exist, then everything would be permitted’ (pg 22). Sartre claims this to be the starting point of existentialist. This is the reason that Sartre talks about anguish.
