标准答案说是选a, 我选择了d.请问为什么是a啊？ sonl 是什么意义啊？我都查不到啊。
"SOUL"打错了.选A因为前面说的是人们不是情愿地去工作而是不得已,而"work ethic"作为A那样的说法,实在是像后面说的,太奇怪了.

答案选a。 但是我觉得原文是说 Mr Abu 是个退休的军人，也就是说 他曾经是个军人，（答案中也是说他曾经是军人） 而 had been 不是说 他一直都是军人吗？ 时态好想表述的不对啊。所以选了b。请高手指点。
"had been"这里是曾经的意思.

2，我也不知道sonl是什么意思，但是用排除法，可以选出a，以为最后提出了，就是因为工作只是为了survive，所以形成了工作道德的问题。因为B说工作是不是为了money而是delight，显然是错了c说一个人必须理解工作是繁琐没完没了的。D说一个人每天应该赚尽可能多的钱。显然这三个都不是后面提到的工作道德。我猜应该是身心投入的工作，才是工作道德。因此选a，道理说得有点牵强了。^^回头我姐姐来了，我问问她。

3，had been 是指过去一直。很明显应该选a。他过去一直是军人，才会有 military ideas of discipline ，而不是对 strict discipline 保持信任。
