Human's psychological activities are categorized into two types, one caused by intellectual factors and the other caused by non-intellectual factors. The intellectual factors including perception and comprehension, memory, abilities of language performance, thought, judgment and application manipulation and etc. The non-intellectual factors are psychological factors, except for those intellectual ones, including various aspects like achievement motivation and abilities of persistence, self- restraint and independence. The non-intellectual factors are promoters of the healthy development of intellectual factors. It is an essential part of the education in primary school to cultivate students' intellectual factors by enhancing their interests in study, stimulating their active and healthy enthusiasm on study, strengthening their tough will on study, concerning on their personalities and characters and improving their humanity qualities, and to promote actively the development of the intellectual factors, so as to advance the harmonious development of both the intellectual factors and the non-intellectual ones.
The first section of this Article is to define the concept of non-intellectual factors; the second section is to elaborate the effects of non-intellectual factors on study; the third section is to talk about the investigation operated in Baihe Centre Primary School and to discuss relevant issues involved thereof; the forth section of this article is to bring forth the training measures on the issues set forth in the other sections.
