It was once proposed:" Christianity was the mainstream ideology of Western Europe in the middle ages; its religious classics, theological dominance and political practice ... ... gave birth to the basic elements of modern western constitution and constitutional culture, and exerted unavoidable and profound effects on the basic concepts, system and constitutionalist practice of modern constitutional government in the west ." It was once pointed out by an American scholar that:" western constitution is rooted in the belief system of Western Christianity and its political thought which expresses the meaning of the secular order " ( Friedrich,1997). In other words, Christianity has imposed great influence on the formation and development of Western politics.
