一道高中英语选择题

译：多奇特的一张桌子啊！我以前从没见过这样的。后面不知道想表达个什么意思了。长和宽不协调吧。
析：最后一句话也够weird的！完全是人造句！table多为圆的。也和方的和长方型的。
这一张桌子显然不是圆的也不是方的，而是长方型的。既然是长方型的，长的就是长，宽的就是宽，有什么问题呢？
我是凭比较句的结构来判断的。

River A is as wide as River B
A河和B河一样宽。
River A is half as wide as River B
A河只有B河一半那么宽。
River A is twice as wide as Rive B
A河的宽度是B河的两倍。
能代替half (=1/2)的，除了twice外，还有three times, four times ,etc
否定：River A is not as wide as River B.
A河没有B河宽。
River A is not half as wide as River B.
A河没有B河一半宽。
再转到本题句来看，这句话中比较的对象是桌子的宽和长。
这个it指的是table,且为长方型的table,就有两个属性：宽和长。
如要表达：它的长是它的宽的两倍：Its width is twice its length.
好象不能说：It is as wide as it is long. 吧？
既然这样说是有逻辑问题的，It is half as wide as it is long也是有问题的，
从而：it is not half as wide as it is long 也是有问题的。
不管其逻辑问题，不管这个句子是不地道，选对“正确”答案并不难。
