介词不能接从句的情况非常少。

是一个介词短语，后面不能接从句，只能接名词。如Your

hard这个句子是不能成立的。不过可以说Your

was
because
of
your
hard-working
。
介词后面的宾语从句有所限制，如在介词后面只能用whether引导从句，不能用if。如：
This
depends
upon
whether
we
are
determined
to
do
it.
这件事要看我们是否有决心去做。而不能说成This
depends
upon
if
we
are
determined
to
do
it.
