Should college students be allowed to get married?
There is no denying the fact that it is a hotly debated topic today whether college students should be allowed to get married. Some time ago, the ban was lifted by some universities on students getting married. To this people's attitudes differ sharply. Some hold the positive view. They say that most college students are adults and that it is a basic right for those who have reached the appropriate ages to get married. Besides, they argue that with their biological and emotional needs met, these students will study better. The ban on this means a severe violation of human rights.
Many others, however, hold the negative opposite view. They claim that the university or college is a place to study instead of a community to lead family life. Allowing college students to get married would adversely affect their study. For instance, they would spend too much time attending their family and love, unable to concentrate on their school work.As far as I am concerned, Weighing the arguments of both sides, I believe that college students should not be allowed to get married. Though mostly adults, they are actually immature psychologically. Their wishes to get married are, more often than not, impulses. Besides, as students, they are not ready to support a family financially.
Should college students get married?
In the modern time, whether college students should get married or not has become the focus of people's attention. In my opinion, it would not be a wise decision to get married for college students before they graduate.
Firstly, college is a time when an individual is trying to, first and foremost, achieve academic success. The added responsibilities of marriage would do nothing but decrease the ability to succeed in one’s education. Marriage takes time and commitment and one does not have either of these when one is attempting to balance studying as well as other college activities.
Further, young students have no firm economic foundation to set up their own families. When they are in college, it is their parents who afford their college expenses. If they get married, they will have to afford the house、food、clothes and the like themselves. This is quite difficult for the young people.
Finally, we are not mature in the body and mind; it is hardy for us young students to endure the pressure of life. So we should better not get married in college.
In summary, we should make great efforts to go in for successful career and then consider the marriage.
Nowadays, it’s becoming more and more commen for college students to get married. People’s opinion vary on this phenomenon.Some people are for the opinion that it’s unnecessary for college students to get married. They claim that what college students should concernttrate on at present is their study. Marriage will cause so many problems to them that they will have little time to deal with their study problems. As a result, they will fall behind others, thus making it harder for them to find jobs after they graduate. Morever, the majority of college students in China are still not financial independent. Granting that, the students themselves are still asking their parents for money, how they can support their families? Wiith so many problems,their marriages are bound to be failures.
However, some people think it’s right for college students to get married. They say college students are adults. They have matured psychologically and physiologically, so they can be responsible for themselves. They have the right to get married.. As long as they can balance the time spent on study and family well,the influence of marriage on their study won’t be that great as the first group of people say. What’s more, forming a family on campus doesn’t really mean a high consuming of money. Most married students can afford it.
As far as I’m concerned, I think it unnecessary for college students to get married. It’s hard for the majority of students to balance their time spent on study and family. In opposite, they may be easily affected by their marriage.
Not long ago, I read a piece of news that a student got married while he was still in his third year in the university. Yes, college students are allowed to get married if they have reached the age permitted by the laws.
However,I don’t think that it’s necessary for college students to get married.First,students are depend on their parents. They can’t be totally economic independent. If a college student has married, he has the responsibility to support his own family. And his parents don’t need to support him any more,because he has grown up.However,as students,few can make it.On the other hand,getting married means the student has seperated from his parents’ familly.Every important days,he has to attend some meetings,for example,if a relative of his has some important thing he has to come to give his visit.Since vevry family has marry relatives,the student must spent lots of time on the visitings.Thus,it’s hard for him to dovote to his study.But,as a student,the main task is study.Since he can’t make this,he is no longer a student,in the veiw of his time on study.
At last,as an independent family,,he has many problems to settle down both in and out home.In a word,the student who get married will be busy with many things,which will have bad effects on his study,so it’s not necessary for college students to get married.
