A typical example of the finite element analysis showed that the structure of the discrete shell after buckling load - displacement curve and the equivalent continuous shell limit load - displacement curve of the "platform" is quite close, indicating that indeed can use the formula derived to predict the stability of spherical shells carrying capacity. This not only expanded the scope of application of the formula derived, and provides an addition to using computers and sophisticated finite element analysis program, beyond the more accurately predict the structural stability of spherical shell effective way of carrying capacity.
