对变压器进行冲击合闸试验的目的有两个:
1、 拉开空载变压器时,有可能产生操作过电压。在电力系统中性点不接地或经消弧线圈接地时,过电压幅值可达4~4.5倍相电压;在中性点直接接地时,可达3倍相电压。为了检查变压器绝缘强度能否承受全电压或操作过电压,需做冲击试验
2、带电投入空载变压器时,会产生励磁涌流,其值可达6~8倍额定电流。励磁涌流开始衰减较快,一般经0.5~1秒即减到0.25~0.5倍额定电流值,但全部衰减时间较长,大容量的变压器可达几十秒。由于励磁涌流产生很大的电动力,为了考核变压器的机械强度,同时考核励磁涌流衰减初期能否造成继电保护装置误动作,需做冲击试验。
规程规定,对新装的主变压器应进行5次冲击试验。
