provided that，providing that有区别吗？可以相互替代吗

　　如果把providing that与 provided that都作为成语用时(意为规定)，从主语位置看，前者为主动，后者为被动；从时态上看，前者为进行时，后者为过去时。
　　如果把providing that与 provided that做动宾短语用时(意为提供什么什么，后面通常用解释that的宾语句式，只不过是时态不同而已。
　　试比较：
　　（1）provided that——假如，设若
　　1.This new film will attract the crowds,whatever its quality,provided that it gets played up in the right way.
如果广告做得好，那么,无论这部新片子的质量如何，都会吸引许多观众的。

　　（2）providing that——以...为条件，假如

　　2.I will go providing that my expenses are paid.
要是我的费用有人代付我就去。
　　3.I will agree to go provided/providing (that) my expenses are paid.

如果是用于“基于...”的释义的话，两个是没有区别的，而且是可以互相替代的。我个人比较习惯于说provided that，或者只说provided（那个that是完全不需要的），不过这也是个人喜好啦。
