Huangguoshu Waterfall is Huangguoshu Waterfall. Baishuihe Waterfall, also known as "Huanggeshu" waterfall or "Huanggeshu" waterfall, is named because of the widespread distribution of "Huanggebanyan" in this area.

黄果树瀑布，即黄果树大瀑布。古称白水河瀑布，亦名“黄葛墅”瀑布或“黄桷树”瀑布，因本地广泛分布着“黄葛榕”而得名。

Located in Zhenning Buyi and Miao Autonomous County, Anshun City, Guizhou Province, China, it belongs to the Baishui Reach of the lower reaches of the Kebu River, a tributary of the Dabang River, a branch of the Nanpan River, the main stream of the Xijiang River. 

It is the largest first-class waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Group and one of the world's famous waterfalls.

黄果树大瀑布的成因：

黄果树大瀑布的成因要上溯至2亿多年前的中三叠纪，那时黄果树一带沉积了一套巨厚的碳酸盐岩。黄果树瀑布发育在一套“中三叠世中统关岭二段中厚层夹少量薄层状云灰岩”中，位置在翁寨小背斜东翼。

黄果树瀑布形成时期的白水河，是一条发育于距今10万—50万年之间，第四纪中、晚更新世时期由“宽谷期”向“峡谷期”演化中的地上河流，后因“喜马拉雅运动”时期地壳多次间歇抬升，引起河流侵蚀基准面下降，导致河流的侵蚀、溶蚀等下切作用加强；

在该处形成“裂点”（河床因地壳抬升、侵蚀基准面下降及构造、岩性等因素的影响而发生较大转折处），这个裂点处的裂隙、溶洞、暗河非常发育。

黄果树瀑布在贵州镇宁白水河上，宽约81米，从68米高的河床断崖上迭落，凭高作浪，发出轰然巨响，倾入犀牛潭中。飞瀑迭落处，掀起轩然大波，浪花四溅。遥望瀑布，笼罩在轻纱薄雾之中，幻景憧憧。
