My Favourite TV Programme
Nowadays the 26th Olympic Games are being held in AtLanta. It is the most popular program all over the world and also my favourite progamme.
In 1992 I was watching the 25th Olympic Games on TV with my schoolmates in China. We cheered at every success the Chinese athelets had. As the Chinese national flag was rising and the national anthem ringing in my ears I was moved to tears just as the medalists. It is the happiest moment for them and for me. I am proud of being a Chinese.
Now that I am in America, things are different. I am so near to the games yet so far away emotionally from those watching around lite. Whenever the Chinese made a mistake, the Americans cheered, which angered me greatly. Each country wants every gold medal. That is understandable. The problem is that they have so much prejudice against our motherland.
I admired Wang Yifu's courage and stamina. He lost his gold medal because of his illness. As soon as he regretfully put down his gun, he fell unconscious and was earried away on a stretcher.
Mo Huilen also lost her gold medal painfully. The young girl was not satisfied with a silver and braved for the gold at the risk of losing it. She showed the true spirit of sportsmanship. I sing in praise of them even if they lose. In my opinion we should praetice what we preach and stick to the Olympic creed that the most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought wen.

我敬佩王逸夫的勇气和毅力。他因病而痛失金牌。他遗憾地一放下枪，就晕倒了，被人们用担架抬走。
莫慧兰也痛失金牌。这个年轻的姑娘不满足于已到手的银牌，而冒着可能失去奖牌的风险勇敢地去争夺金牌，表现了真正的运动员风格。

I like the program"Animal World" . First of all, I like animals, especially small animals. Secondly, the host is able to make the program lively and interesting. Thirdly, through this program I know a lot of things that I haven't known before. I gain some knowledge about animal life, such as, different lives of various kinds of animals, the relationship between people and nature, people and animal, and the importance of animal protection.
I want to say that animals are part of nature as we are. They can not be separated from the humans. We must keep nature in balance.

Sports in Our School
Everyone in our college goes in for sports. Every morning after we get up we do morning exercises and we do exercises again during the long break. We only have one P.E. class a week, but we do physical training every afternoon. The most popular sport seems to be basketball. Another popular game is football. The girls like playing badminton. And volleyball is also liked by many of us when the weather is warm.
Besides ball games, many of us are keen on track and field events. Every term we hold a sports meet.
We have school teams of basketball, volleyball and football. We often have friendly matches with teams from other schools. Whenever there is an important match at the Nangchang Stadium, you ’ re sure to find many of our schoolmates and teachers among the spectators. In short, we all love sports, and we train regularly to keep fit for work, study, and the defence of our country.

I have been living in the UK for many years now. The only thing I still can't get used to is the weather. It is so unpredictable, so changeable and so wet and windy all the time. So there is a local proverb, "If you can live in here then you can live anywhere in the world." And it was the same early on this year. it was so nice and hot in March, which I thought our summer came early. But since Easter until a week ago, it went back to sub-winter weather. It was absolutely awful, cold, windy and rained most of time. Only from last week, it suddenly started to get hot and sunny again. In fact it was the hottest day or the hottest day in May for many years last Wednesday. The heat remains until today. According to the weather forecast, this will continue into June and beyond, so we shall have a very hot summer this time. However, every coin has two sides, in the same as I was enjoying the wonderful and unusual English weather, My beautiful Yucca tree was almost killed because one side of its leaves were touching the window of my conservatory. The widow glass was heat up to a high temperature by the hot sun. It burnt some of the Yucca tree's leaves. I moved the pot a little bit away from the window once I saw it. But now with some of its leaves are brown that it looks very poor. But I hope it won't died because it was a gift from my son's best friend. I looked after it very well. It had grown from a small 2 feet plant to now a giant 6 feet tree. I am really proud of my work.
Thus this is English weather!
