A:really?
B:sure. but don't be over-confident, which may bring you a lot of trouble.
A:what else do you think is important?
B:ambition. and you should also be persevering. how long or how well you can get on with your work depends on it.
A:besides those characters you have just mentioned, is there any abilities that a successful man should have?
B:of course. the ability of communication may help you to gain some useful things or information from others. the ability of negotiation will bring good opportunities to you rather then to others.
A: thanks very much. I will do my best to shorten the distance between me and a successful person.

You can talk about parental expectations vs. parental love in the Chinese culture. Mmm... depends on if it's a descriptive atmosphere or more of a informational speech you're looking for. It's not very hard for you to write all this in Chinese, is it? You can start off with that and then try to translate it into English, can't you?
