In old days,writting letters is an important way of communication among people. Nowadays,many people communicate with each other mostly by sending text messages.
In my opinion, this is due to the improvement of technology. The modern world enables people in distance to connect with one another. People used to send nail letter to others, however, nowadays they just need to simply use a handphone and dial some numbers to call others.It is a more efficient way for communication.
In my conclusion, I think it is more convenient for us to contact others by sending text messages rather than sending letters.

Writing Letters were regarded as an important form to communicate with each other.People usually took it very seriously, not only for delivering message but to reflect the true feelings,though telephone was already available a long time ago. With the development of modern technology, emails have slowly replaced letters
because it's totally free and much faster, meanwhile, the emergence of mobile phone and its function of short message sending (SMS) makes communication even more convenient and efficient. Many young people nowadays contact each other mainly by these new means.
As to me, I will choose the most efficient way to meet my needs, so I still write letters sometimes.
