Abstract: In the recent few years, OEM production has been widely used in industries in our country, and in a certain period has played a facilitating role in the development of industries in our country. But from a long-term perspective, if the Chinese industries wish to gain significance in a global scale but without their own brand, at best they can only be comparatively efficient fabricators. Hence, Chinese industries should not be satisfied with OEM production, and must change from OEM production into brand management, and hence create China's own brand.

This article firstly analysed the current situation of industries with OEM production, looking at its existing problems and ills and its ultimate fate, then from the macroeconomic environment,the needs of the background, the need for development of the industry itself, and the benefits that branding has towards the industry, expounded the necessity for industries to change from OEM production to brand management, and finally analysed the factors that influence brand management, hence implementing the strategy of the transition from OEM production into brand management.
