would rather 语法问题

一、汉语的“与其...不如...”和“宁愿...而不愿...”本身就是一个意思的两种不同的表达方式，指的都是从情感上侧重于一个而排除另一个。其实这个意思何止可以用上面的两种句式表达，还可以用“宁可...也不...”、“比起...来更希望...”，“与...相比更喜欢...”等句式。如下面的句子就可以用多种方法翻译：
I would rather watch TV at home than go to the cinema.

二、would rather ...than 句式的解剖
1. would rather do sth.——表示宁可做某事、更愿意做某事或者倒不如做某事，是情感上要选择的行为。
* would 是情态动词，与后面的动词一起委婉的表示“愿望”；
* rather 是副词，意思是“更愿意地/比较合意地”，用来修饰后面的动词，说明对该行为愿意的程度；
2. than——用于引入相比较的另一个成分，表示“比起...来/与其.../也不...”在情感上排除的项目。
三、句式的应用
1. 对比项目的位置
* would rather 后跟要选择的项目
* than 后跟不选择的项目
2. 具体应用分析（如例句）
* 与其在家看电视不如去看电影。 （看电影是选择项目，在家看电视是排除项目）
