端粒真的能控制细胞分裂极限?
其实并不是,这是细胞在复制时的超强纠错机制,在细胞被复制时会有一个末端问题,即末端,为保证细胞完整被复制,端粒部分有一些没有意义的序列,当DNA在复制时到这段时,总会有一段序列无法复制!

他认为人类的寿命除了细胞分裂部分以外,还可以通过修复损伤细胞和修复复制过程中出错的这两项达到同样的目的,毕竟我们不是追求永生,而是最大限度的延长寿命,因此奥布里·德·格雷认为,这种技术可以将人类的极限寿命扩展至1000岁!

当然我们不否认奥布里·德·格雷说的很有道理,这就好比一台机械设备,适当的保养和维护可以极大的延长它的使用寿命,但这只是理论值,比如一台完美的没有缺陷的设备,但现实情况则是设备在铸造时会留下细小的砂眼,或者加工时留下了些许刀痕,或因为锻造差异重心偏离,或者热处理时留下应力缺陷,所以这些都会加快疲劳损伤,最终一个小小的缺陷摧毁一台设备。
